Join the pilot

Before the App Store launch, 30–50 people test Wilhelm for two weeks: iPhone with iOS 18 or later, TestFlight from the App Store, then the invite link. [TestFlight link to follow] What you'd be doing and what happens with your data is in the invitation – and in Privacy.

Common questions

Wilhelm suggests nothing or too little.

Usually the streaming services are set too narrowly. Settings → Services: pick more, or deselect all (no restriction). The region must match where you live.

I want to answer the questions again.

Settings → “Start over”. That deletes answers, ratings and the result on the device and restarts the interview.

What do thumbs up and down mean?

Whether Wilhelm's sentence fits you – not whether the film is good. Swipe left on a film, or tap under “Why you” in the film. Tap again to withdraw.

I want my data deleted.

Settings → About Wilhelm → tap the pilot code (it's copied) and send it to hallo@wilhelmrecommends.com. We delete your server profile. “Start over” or removing the app deletes everything local.

Why does thinking take 30 seconds?

For every list, Wilhelm reads up to 30 candidates and writes a sentence of his own for each pick. That's what it costs. We chose quality.

Beim Pilot mitmachen

Vor dem Start im App Store testen 30–50 Leute Wilhelm zwei Wochen lang: iPhone mit iOS 18 oder neuer, TestFlight aus dem App Store, dann der Einladungslink. [TestFlight-Link folgt] Was du dafür tun müsstest und was mit deinen Daten passiert, steht in der Einladung – und in Datenschutz.

Wilhelm schlägt nichts vor oder zu wenig.

Meist sind die Streaming-Dienste zu eng gewählt. Einstellungen → Dienste: mehr auswählen oder alle abwählen (dann gilt keine Einschränkung). Auch die Region muss zu deinem Wohnort passen.

Ich will die Fragen noch einmal beantworten.

Einstellungen → „Von vorn“. Das löscht Antworten, Bewertungen und Ergebnis auf dem Gerät und startet das Interview neu.

Was bedeuten Daumen hoch und runter?

Ob Wilhelms Satz zu dir passt – nicht, ob der Film gut ist. Nach links wischen oder im Film unter „Warum du“ antippen. Nochmal antippen nimmt es zurück.

Ich will meine Daten löschen lassen.

Einstellungen → Über Wilhelm → Pilot-Code antippen (wird kopiert) und an hallo@wilhelmrecommends.com schicken. Wir löschen dein Serverprofil. Alles Lokale löscht „Von vorn“ oder das Entfernen der App.

Warum dauert das Nachdenken 30 Sekunden?

Wilhelm liest für jede Liste bis zu 30 Kandidaten und schreibt für jeden Vorschlag einen eigenen Satz. Das ist die Zeit, die das kostet. Wir haben uns für Qualität entschieden.
